If you haven’t had a contact with an educational institution in the recent past, you might not have noticed the gravity of the problem. The MentorIndia program will give you a chance to reconnect with the schools and colleges and see what the current status is. Be warned, it is not pretty.
In the last three decades there were gigantic leap in technology, instructional methods, management techniques and personal development strategies in the world over. But our academic institutions are still decades behind. It is not because the potential is not there. But the available potential is not tapped properly. If we can steer the kids to the right path, you can unleash that potential. As a mentor, that is your primary goal.
When you experienced new things, when you discovered new methods, when you uncovered a hidden truth, haven’t you thought about passing that ‘light’ to someone in the next generation? Here is your chance to do just that
Effective mentoring is a mutually beneficial relationship. While the mentee is getting personal growth, career development, lifestyle changes, goal achievement and better understanding, the mentors also benefits by improving their own personal and professional growth through leadership skills and relating to people of varying skill sets, personalities and backgrounds.
We request each mentors to spend at least 8 days per year (2-4 working days) for this program. We will work with the mentor to develop the talk, presentation or workshop.
