MentorIndia program is a group mentorship program which is geared towards higher secondary schools and degree colleges. This program will bring tremendous change to the mindset of participating students. The mentors will focus on developing the leadership and entrepreneurship skills of the students.
Mentors will provide talks/presentations/workshops to a class at least once in a month. In these talks the mentors will tell their life stories, their successes, their failures, their experiences, lessons learned, what worked for them, what didn’t work for them, etc, etc. Mentors will continue to foster a relationship with the class throughout the year.
The MentorIndia portal will provide a communication channel for the mentors and the class. The mentors and class will communicate only through the portal. The portal will help protect the privacy of both the mentor and students.
When a new mentor is introduced in the school or college, first two sessions will be conducted on a weekday. The following sessions will be conducted on weekends or holidays.
Navabharath Foundation will match up the skills of the mentor with appropriate schools/colleges, work with the schools/colleges to publicize the event, help arrange the hall and audio/video equipments in association with the school. Navabharath Foundation will also conduct surveys and collect feedback.
